Interview tips:
  • Thoroughly review your CV before the interview.
  • Have all the necessary details of your interviewer to hand (name, title, address, phone number).
  • Work out your route, transport and parking and allow plenty of time for your journey.
  • Familiarise yourself with the role and its responsibilities.
  • Research the company and the interviewer.
  • Prepare yourself for technical questions. 
  • Relate your past experiences to the new role and explain how you can benefit the company.

  • What interests you about this role?
  • Why do you want to work for this company?

  • What is your greatest achievement in your current position?
Here are some examples of competency based interview questions:
  • Tell me about a situation where you had to overcome difficulties.  How did you overcome them?
  • Describe a scenario where you implemented a change at work. How did you go about it and what were the outcomes?
